Demo Factions: Crystals of Control (Adult / NSFW Version)

Overview:
THIS IS THE ADULT VERSION! There is a "safe for all" version on itch.io as well! Please download that version if you are under 18 or mature, sexual themes disturb you. Thank you!
This is a proof-of concept Anaxverse "match three" game where one matches colored gems. These, in turn, will grant the character power. Once the correct requirements are met, the player can unleash the power as an attack on their enemy. The key is to keep your resistance above zero while bringing your opponents to nothing. However, those with skill will want to meet the criteria needed to convert the enemy into one of your own minions! For example, if one is playing as the succubus Dionyza and they manage to get the opponent to gain two "seduced" debuffs, and then manage to break the right gems, they can cast Lillith's Love which would defeat the foe. What would follow is a conversion/transformation scene where the player's character uses their powers to warp the enemy into their own ilk.

Known Issues:
- - Resizing the window outside of 16:9 ratio around may cause problems
- - A board with no valid moves can occur (full game will shuffle gems)
- - Player can click a second attack (before 1st finishes) nullifying the 1st attack
Future changes (in regards to a full game):
- Bonus effects for matching 4 or more gems
- Hints for possible matches when needed
- Campaign mode with character progression
- Balance improvements
- General polish
Please remember this is totally a rough draft! It is a proof of concept of our future game. The game will, of course, have vastly more content to it and polish than this bare-bones demo version. For example, the conversions in this demo are just storyboards to show possible investors an idea of what the real ones in the actual game will be like.

Full Game Overview:
Greetings, it is I, The Anax! This demo will be a rough draft (though as you will see even for something so rough it is of immense quality), and I do still 100% intend to come back to it. I currently have a Unity programmer that is a fan of all my other games and visual novels that is helping me make this and improve it to a whole new level. By purchasing my other games on Itch or Patreoning me, you help me continue to create all the Anaxverse titles!
Gameplay:
The first Anaxverse FACTIONS game is a "match three" game where one matches colored gems. These, in turn, will grant the character power. Once the correct requirements are met, the player can unleash the power as an attack on their enemy. The key is to keep your resistance above zero while bringing your opponents to nothing.

Adult Content:
The demo has just a short slideshow, a storyboard of sorts, to get the proof of concept across to the potential investors. However, the "adult" version of the game itself will feature detailed and unique mind control/corruption/transformation sex scenes (nudity, intercourse, and such). The scenes will be far more polished, longer, and alive including such things as music and voice acting. (however that all costs money so please consider donating here or patroning me on Patreon!)

Story/Lore:
So far my novels number well over half a million words and are still growing. This game will be relatively easy to follow in the story, but the Factions have huge amounts of lore gleaned from my novels. Easter eggs will abound, and strategies and knowledge from my massive story projects will be found in every level of Factions: CoC. So, if one ever wanted to get further information, they could find an immense amount of character, location, and attack information in my visual novels.
Factions/Starting Character IN FULL GAME:
There will be male and female. (For those that like it, there will even be possible ways for doing M to F transformations in some cases too- no promises but if I can earn the income, I don't see why not! If the player wants to choose that on some scenes), however, as far as just male and just female- every Faction has one of each. Factions, themselves, work with two main characters. When you are going through the game fighting them, one of the two will be a "mini-boss" halfway through the map, and the other will be the "boss" at the end. As of right now it should be:

really hope to see it finished one day, maybe with even the new factions added to the game, for me it really had a lot of potential because it was so cool to be able to convert any of the characters into any race, and the gameplay wasn't too difficult so it was perfect to be replayed a lot of times to rewatch the conversions

Hi there big fan of the anaxverse, I've been curious to see if the full version of this will be worked on soon, since a friend of mine mentioned you reached the patreon goal of $2500 (though to be fair he has a habit of talking out of his ass sometimes). In any case love your stories and wish you success in the new year.
Yeah, back then I was still working a 50/hr per week job. lol So I had all that income and figured I could afford to pay a programmer with Patreon, but 6 years ago I quit my job to make Anaxverse projects fulltime, so unfortunately, it's a no go. However, I currently have a volunteer programmer that is helping make this very game, but he is new and I am waiting before announcing anything until I am certain he won't ghost me (like the other 14 programmers). Anyway, we'll see!

The programming fan that helped me make it had said that he'd only have ever been able to make a demo for me. So this was, and unfortunately I've never had another programmer fan that's been able to help me make it. But yes I do still want to and hope to be able to make it someday.

Is there something I can do to fix my issue? The game crashes on launch, and i use windows.
Not that I am aware of. The only thing that I could even think *might* be an idea is to Run as Administrator? Usually, with a Unity game, one just opens it. The only other possibility (and this would probably not be it as practically everyone with a computer knows how zip files work) is that you tried playing it before extracting everything out of the zip file.
That didn't work either. I have the crash report it keeps generating if that can be of any use.
I'm afraid that the old demo is done as can be, and my Patreon still, to this day has not hit the 2500 mark, so this game will, seemingly, never be finished. Still, thanks for the head's up!
Will there be a "buy to support" option on itch?
Absolutely, if I can ever get the game made. Sadly, to this day, my Patreon is still sitting far below the required amount to make this game a reality!
